Great Coaches
Revision r1.1 - 27 Apr 2004 - 03:22 GMT - SomikRahaI have a few acres at home. Once I was lighting a big fire, and we have the wind called the Nor’wester which can blow a bit. I figured I’d have a big bonfire, you know pour a bit of petrol, diesel, strike a match and let it go. But the way to really make a fire is to light little fires with the wind behind and not in front. I think coaching is a little bit like that. It’s like leadership from behind.
John Wright, coach of the Indian cricket team, credited with establishing a world-class team that has gone from being good to being great.
